I read an article in some carlbad newpaper and wrote a letter to the editor after reading it. They didn’t help the cause at all with their comments about us using illegal lands, tearing up the earth, how dangerous mtn biking is, etc. But I guess the more the word gets out, we might pick up more supporters.

Josh,

We read that article too. It was completely spun in the wrong direction; it was obviously politically motivated…let’s get the real spin on this thing.

Watch our community unite.

The Carlsbad City Council has appointed an ad hoc group, designated to determine which trails should be connected or worked on and has asked for the public to make their own recommendations between October 18 and November 17 to help them make their determinations. ANYONE and EVERYONE can go the Carlsbad City Offices on Faraday Ave and fill out a request form for ANY trails and OPEN AREA within the city limits. Understanding they are not directly in charge of this area, it would still act as another channel to be heard. The more voices they hear about this, the better.

…So we have 5 days left. And we have to identify the trails we want open even though we can’t go out there?
Sheesh!
