What’s the real issue here?

I really want everyones feedback and input on this.

_

The real issue is that we are getting the run around by the local government. No one knows who has authority over the property, yet everyone is convinced that they have the authority to tear out the trails. Word to on who’s property it is has gone from City, to County, to the Palomar Airport and NOW it is back to the city.

_
Hmmm, wanna shrug it off, and chalk one up to local government red tape beauracracy? I don’t.

_

Let’s make this more appealing to the NON MOUNTAIN Biking audience. Let’s get everyone involved! Mike Turko called me to tonight, he asked what my goal was, and I said to SAVE FLIGHTLINE trails. And that we were getting the run around from the local government when we tried to find out the “right channels” to make this thing right! I knew right there, that he wasn’t going to call me back right away. It only appeals to mountain bikers!

The real issue is that Nature Enthusiasts are Denied Access to Public Land! We have had access for 20 years, and now that local commercial development has encroached more of the environment, the nature enthusiasts whom have been using the area in a minimal environmental impact kind of way for 20 years are denied access. We see the new road going across the valley, cornering wildlife into an even smaller area; we know that if more money were spent, they could have built a bridge to allow wildlife to roam free, and NOT FILL IN THE VALLEY WITH DIRT.

_
Is commercialism and money really going to win over The Peoples Voice? I hope not; we need to step up and get some press on this or we are going to keep getting passed around the government with no conclusive answers on who runs what.
