Press and Progress?

This was commented on the Riders Blog page but it is more about the Progress of saving flightline so I reposted it here.
Has there been any progress on getting something in the Local media? Papers or news?
We need to get the issue to more of the local public. We need to get someone involved […]

Dept. of Public Works Responsibility

Minette went to the county offices today to get the “parcel number” of the property, since the County seemed to need this info to do any research on their end, and to see if I could track down Maryanne Vancio, the County Trails Coordinator.Minette found out that Maryanne’s dept is not responsible for this parcel. […]

Lets get some action

Fellow mountain bikers and flightline lovers,
I heard lots of great ideas during the last couple weeks but I’d like to be sure all this creativity is not wasted. I think it could be great to organize a meeting to define some operating goals and to coordinates themselves.
Time is a key and an efficient organization is […]

Keep FlightLine Open Email

I just got this email: What do you think?
Please keep flightline open to the public. It is a one of a kind resource for hikers and bikers in South Carlsbad. Thank you.

Timing of Elections could be a good influence on Progress

The most urgent items are;
1) to get the Conservation Easement (CE) ammended to allow bikes on the portion of property where Skyline and Safety Center trails are
and
2) halt the destruction of the Skyline Trail until a Trail Assessement and Trail Plan have been determined.
SDMBA is actively working on the task of finding out of how […]

Over 600 Signatures

As of this morning, 10/27, we have over 600 signatures to save flightline. That is great, but WE NEED MORE. It is time to send out “ROUND TWO” of your email blasts to friends, family and coworkers. Lets get more signatures!!!!

IMBA input for FlightLine

As requested at the meeting, I have asked for local IMBA input. Other than experience and advice, IMBA probably can not lend resources.
From what I gathered at the meeting, the most important issue is that the trail users want input on the trail designations and design.
Things to do:
Start with Ms. Vancio, the County Trails Coordinator. Try to get the […]

Email Suggestion

Hello,
Great job on the website! I have been riding Flightline for 5 years
and seen it through at least three transformations and have often
counting it out as gone. Yet, somehow it has managed to survive.
However, the current situation is looking particularly grim.
I was at the meeting last Thursday and there was much talk about
getting the dismantling […]
